MORIAH, NY / RICHFORD, VT - Helen Edith Landon, age 92, passed away Wednesday March 28, 2012 at Our Lady of the Meadows Community Care Home in Richford where she has resided for the last 6 years.
She was born April 30, 1919 in Moriah, New York the daughter of the late George & Bessie (Cogswell) Landon.
Helens greatest enjoyment in life was the time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Our Lady of the Meadows for all the care and kindness shown to Helen during her stay there.
She is survived by her son, George Landon and his wife Donna of Lewis, NY; 2 grandchildren, Mark Landon of Whitehouse, TX and Kim Snow and her husband Bill of South Burlington, VT; her great grandchildren, Lauren & Dustin Landon and Justin Snow; a sister, Alberta Russo of Miami, FL; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Florence Tyrell, Clarence Landon, Dora Noxon, Geraldine Wykes, and Paul Landon.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at the South Moriah Cemetery in Moriah, New York.
