RICHFORD - Helen Violet Pedersen, age 72, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston.
She was born in Berkshire Center, May 26, 1937 the daughter of the late, Leland O. & Mary A. (Gallup) Goodrich.
Helen attended school in Berkshire Center, Richford High School and Johnson State Teachers College. She worked for the University of Vermont Extension Service for 22 years retiring in 1994. She was a member of the American Legion Post # 12 Auxiliary.
Helen had the opportunity to travel and visit many places including, Maine, England, Texas, Germany, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Florida, New York City and Bermuda. She enjoyed camping, reading, shopping, gambling, watching survivor and most importantly, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Peder Pedersen of Richford. Helen & Pete were married on October 20, 1973. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, James & Shelly Woods of Richford, John & Patricia Woods of Berkshire, Lisa & Dale Lamell of St. Albans, and Lynn & Ernie Minetti of West Berkshire; her grandchildren, Kyle, Kory & Katie Woods, Jesse Woods and his wife Holly, Ashley Woods, Taylor & Allison Lamell, and Sara, Nathan & Eric Minetti; her brother and his wife, Kenneth & Joan Goodrich and their family of Berkshire.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 29, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the East Franklin Union Church in East Franklin with Pastor Jason McConnell officiating. Interment will be later this spring in the East Franklin Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main Street, Richford.
