ENOSBURG FALLS - Helen M. Rainault, age 82, passed away Sunday morning November 2, 2008 at the Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester.
She was born December 3, 1925 in Enosburgh the daughter of the late Henry & Linnie (Benoit) Duso.
Helen had been a resident of Green Mountain Nursing Home since February of 2008. She was a former resident East Hartford, CT where she had been employed at Pratt & Whitney retiring in 1975. Following her retirement she moved back to Vermont living in Richmond & Williston. She also spent many summers fishing at her camp on Lake Carmi in Franklin as well as at her brothers camp at Lake Winnipesauke in New Hampshire. She enjoyed working as a volunteer for the United Way RSVP Program. She also enjoyed taking rides especially in the fall.
She is survived by 1 son, Gene LaFountain and his wife Jackie of St. Albans; 3 daughters, Joyce Combs of Williston, Norma Amsden and her husband Mark, and Dorothy Madore and her husband Thomas all of Lady Lake, FL; 9 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Jack Duso of Chatham, NY; a sister, Pearl Sterling and her husband Wayne of Kenner, LA; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Helen was predeceased by her husband George G. Rainault; a son Robert LaFountain; 3 brothers, Carmi, Earl & Walter Duso; 2 sisters, Mary Holtzclaw, and Eula Emerson.
Funeral services will b held Thursday November 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Enosburg Falls.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls.
