Henry "Hank" Stueber

FRANKLIN LAKE CARMI , VT / ARCADIA, FL. - Henry J. Hank Stueber Jr., age 80, passed away November 2, 2011 at his home in Arcadia, FL after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Raritan Township, NJ on May 5, 1931 the son of the late Henry J. Stueber Sr. and Mary (Bodnarik) Stueber.

He graduated from Woodbridge High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force 2500th Maintenance Squadron for 4 years. Following his honorable discharge he went to work for Hess Oil and Shell Oil in Sewaren, NJ until his retirement after 25 years of employment.

Hank spent his summer vacations and retirement at Lake Carmi in Franklin, Vt. He was a member of the Lake Carmi Campers Association and was a member of the American Legion Post # 42 of Enosburg Falls. He was also a member of the Enosburg Falls Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf with his buddies.

Hanks hobbies included working on and driving his 1929 Model A ford Truck, fishing at Lake Carmi and in Florida, wood carving and traveling.

Hank is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Glenn (Cole) Stueber of Lake Carmi, VT & Arcadia, FL; his sons, Henry B. Stueber his wife Deanna of Blue Bell, PA, and William A. Stueber of Battle Creek, MI; 5 grandchildren, Gabriella, Deanna, Bryon, Rachael & Hunter; his brother, Ronald Stueber and wife Ruth; brother-in-law, James Cole and wife Doris; sister-in-law, Cheryl Eakins and husband Everett; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, David Dunton.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Middle Road, Franklin, VT. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Hank & Marys camp on Lake Carmi following the committal.
