ST. ALBANS – Holly Amber Parker went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 27th, 2022.
She was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts on April 18, 1993. When she was two her parents moved to Vermont where she has made her home ever since. She was mother to four incredible daughters, Ebonie, Alahna, August, and baby Gabriella.
The road she walked was mountainous and because she was so fiercely independent and private, she often walked alone. This made things difficult because she was stubborn and seldom asked for help. She would forge ahead on her own and I know she tried her best. Despite the battles she faced, it never stopped her from being her sweet, gentle self when she was around the ones she loved and trusted the most, especially her children, her sisters and brothers, and her niece.
Holly was quiet and reserved but silly when at her most comfortable. She loved shopping, especially buying clothes for her children, being with family, watching movies, playing cards, and doing puzzles. If you were lucky enough to get to know the real Holly, you would have been blessed by her generosity, her laughter, and her silly antics. Growing up she never failed to entertain her little sisters with “water fun” games, “Mr. Shark” impressions, “Walter” songs and April Fool’s Day jokes. She loved dinners at the “Barn” in Franklin, VT with her grandparents, Frederic, and Audrey FitzSimmons who I know have greeted her in heaven! She especially loved her Sunday naps.
Never a sports girl, she much preferred baking cookies and watching movies with her sisters.
She shared a bond watching episodes of “Fear Factor,” “Lost” and “Survivor” with her stepfather, Paul and they loved to bet on the outcomes. She endured many Sundays of family game night with her brothers and though they didn’t see each other often, I know she loved hearing news about them.
She adored her father, Garrett Parker and eagerly looked forward to the day when they were going to be reunited. I know she couldn’t wait for him to meet her babies.
As her mother, it was my joy when I could spend time with her and the children. Whether it was a trip to the park, the beach, or shopping at TJ Maxx, we always made it special and enjoyed being together. She will always be my first little girl and I will miss her every day.
She is survived by her father, Garrett Parker of New York, and her mother and stepfather, Paul and Janet Wells of Castle Hayne, NC, her brother, Nolan Parker of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her brother, Jacob Wells of California, her sister, Audrey Rose Parker, and niece, Layne of St. Albans, VT and her sister, Faith Wells of Castle Hayne, NC, and a dear friend, Robbie Robtoy, as well as so many cousins, aunts and uncles who loved her dearly.
Holly was predeceased by her grandparents, Frederic, and Audrey FitzSimmons.
