MONTGOMERY CENTER - Ida Marion Levis, age 83, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Franklin County Rehab Facility in St. Albans.
She was born August 14, 1926 in Montgomery Center the daughter of the late Carmi W. & Eva (Hoyt) Levis.
Ida was a lifelong resident of Montgomery Center where she was most comfortable at home on the Mountain Road taking care of the house chores, working in the gardens, canning the harvest from the gardens and cooking for her family. For the past few years she had made her home at the Holiday House in St. Albans.
She is survived by her brother, Clinton Levis of Sheldon. Besides her parents, Ida was predeceased by her sisters, Hilda Levis, Helen Levis, Hallie (Levis) Grant, and Beverly Levis; and her brothers, Raymond Levis, Ralph Bub Levis, and Carmi Sonny Levis, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Ralph Grant.
Funeral services will be held Thursday May 6, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Charlie Kuthe officiating. Interment will follow in the Montgomery Center Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
