ENOSBURG FALLS - Irene Marie Lamarche, age 95, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at St. Albans Healthcare and Rehab St. Albans, VT with loving support from her family after a short illness.
She was born June 10, 1918 in Mansonville, Que the daughter of the late Andrew and Laura (Prive) Cabana.
Irene grew up in Fairfield and Enosburg. She married to Joseph Lamarche, December 13, 1932. She was a resident of Enosburg for many years. She wallpapered and painted until the age of 80 in many homes in Franklin County.
She is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ladies of St. Anne Society, Catholic Order of Foresters, Fletcher Grange, Camels Hump, Pomona and National Grange for over 50 years.
She enjoyed playing cribbage (Monday cribbage league at the American Legion) and bowling for over 40 years (Dairy Center Northern League) and Bingo were many of her activities. She crocheted and did a lot of canvas items giving them to everyone who visited her.
Irene is survived by her three children, Marie Brouillette of Sheldon, Lawrence Lamarche, Saratoga Springs, NY and Clement (Mona) Lamarche from Tavares, Florida.
10 grandchildren, David Brouillette (Jerri) of Sheldon, Teresa Stebbins of Georgia, Mary Brouillette of St. Albans, Mark Brouillette (Wendy) of Montgomery and Andrew Brouillette (Susan) of Sheldon Michelle Marresse (Micheal) of NY, Micheal Lamarche of Florida, Paul Lamarche, Robert Lamarche and Kelly-Jo Lamarche all of Saratoga Springs, NY.
Great Grandchildren, Laura Stebbins of Waterbury, Eric Stebbins of Georgia, Kristine Stebbins of Burlington, Matthew Brouillette (Katy) of Swanton, Abbey Miller (Tyler) of Bakersfield, Nathaniel Brouillette, Bradley Brouilette both of Sheldon, Katie Siano of Montgomery and Joshua Lamarche , Sr of Saratoga Springs, NY.; Great-Great Grandchildren: Kameron, & Jace Brouillette, Joshua, Jr and Connor Lamarche
Irene was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lamarche; parents Andrew & Laura (Prive) Cabana; sisters, Connie Emch, Edith Nolan, Florence Emch; and her brother Merrill Cabana; son Reginald Lamarche; great grandson-Jason Brouillette; and son-in-law, Richard Brouillette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi St, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450 with Father Roger Charbonneau officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Enosburg Falls. A Reception will be held after the committal at St. Anthonys Parish Hall, Shawville Rd, Sheldon Springs, VT 05485.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave, Enosburg Falls, VT 05450
