Ivan McAllister

RICHFORD - Ivan W. McAllister, age 83, passed away Monday morning, August 6, 2012 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born October 13, 1928 in Richford the son of the late Carroll S. & Blanche (Audette) McAllister.
Ivan was a lifelong resident of Richford and worked for many area businesss including, Town of Richford, Sweat-Comings, Fonda Container, Agway, Inc., Roxton Industries, McAllisters Lumber, Sheridan D. Smith, Inc. in Maine and mowed lawns and dug graves at Hillside Cemetery and the Richford Center Cemetery. He enjoyed readings, and doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Carroll & Dorcas McAllister of Richford, Randy & Jan McAllister of Richford, and Marcella & Dean White of Milton; his grandchildren, Amber, Keshia, Adrianne, Silas, Simon & JJ; his great grandchildren, Makaylah & Addison. Besides his parents, Ivan was predeceased by his wife, Ardell (Guilmette) McAllister; his siblings, Lyle McAllister, Hattie Weaver & Madeline Haggerty.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Richford Center Cemetery, South Richford Road, Richford with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. There will be no visiting hours.

Ivans family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Northwestern Medical Center for the care and support given to Ivan and the family during his time there.
