SWANTON – Jacques Philip Beaulieu, a lifelong resident of Swanton, VT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 13, 2021, at the age of 84, with his wife of 61 years by his side. Jacques was born on July 23, 1937, to the late Phillip Beaulieu and Marie Ange (LaBonte) in Highgate VT.
He met his loving wife Donna in 1958 at a bingo hall and they were happily married on July 9, 1960. They made their home in Swanton where they raised their 3 children and enjoyed camping and snowmobiling. In his later years he especially loved riding around the neighborhood in his golf cart with his faithful dog Tucker by his side.
Jacques' passions included driving truck for 46 years. He always had a small engine repair shop at his home and enjoyed “shooting the shit” with his customers. He also served as the president of the snowmobile club and tractor club for many years and was vice president of the Franklin County Field Days for 14 years. Jacques was a member of the National Guard for 9 years, member of the Knights of Columbus and The American Legion Post #1. Jacques will be remembered by his family and friends for his love of collecting and repairing his antique John Deere Tractors. He loved showing them at the Franklin County Field Days and area parades.
Jacques is survived by his wife Donna (Martell) Beaulieu of Swanton VT, son Allen Beaulieu and wife Laurie, their daughters Kilie & Rachel, son Mark Beaulieu and his wife Mary, their sons Kyle & Kory, son-in law Ronnie St.Francis and daughters Shaye & Riley, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind siblings, Raymond & his wife Charlotte Beaulieu (VA), Aline and husband Phillip Bushey(GA), brother in law Thomas Martell & wife Patricia, as well as several step brothers, sisters and their spouses.
Jacques will be deeply missed by this family, friends & the many community members that knew him, including the early morning McDonald's “Gang”. Jacques is predeceased by his daughter, Marie St.Francis, father Phillip, mother Marie Ange, step mother Cecilia Trahan Beaulieu, and sister in law Jane Martell.
Jacques' family would like to acknowledge very special friends, Diane and John Day, Jennifer Fitzimmons and Louise LaBombard for always going above and beyond to lend a helping hand, as well as a special thank you to Franklin County Home Health and Hospice, especially Sheree Martel and Nikki Ward.
Family and friends are invited to Jacques Life Celebrations Events to include visitation on Tuesday October 19,2021 from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Jacque’s memory may be made to Franklin County Home Health and Missisquoi Valley Rescue.
