RICHFORD - James Julien Fleury, age 70, passed away Monday evening, April 18, 2011 at the St. Albans Health Care & Rehab Facility.
He was born October 31, 1940 in Montreal, Quebec Canada the son of the late Francis & Violet (Batten) Fleury.
Jim moved to the United States in 1971. He had worked in the housekeeping department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH for several years before moving back to Vermont in 1978. Once back in Vermont he worked as a handyman for all of his family and friends and helped his brother-in-law, Carl at Bates Custom Sawing.
He is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Paul & Lucy Fleury of Montreal, Quebec, Noella & Carl Bates of Berkshire, Peter Fleury of Sutton, Quebec, and Lorraine & Guy Maurice of Courtenay, British Columbia; several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Francis & Violet Fleury; a brother, Arthur Buddy Fleury; and a very special great niece, Jodi Robtoy.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the East Franklin Cemetery, 4610 Lake Road, East Franklin with Pastor Jason McConnell officiating. There will be no public visiting hours.
