James Jewett

JAY- James Wallace Jewett, age 66, husband of Theresa (Juaire) Jewett, passed away unexpectedly at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

Jim was born September 27, 1946 in Berkshire Center the son of Arlin Jewett and the late Geneva (Johnson) Jewett.

Jim was employed at General Dynamics for 33 years retiring in 2000. Jim had a great love of the outdoors. He enjoyed operating his Christmas Tree Farm in New York, hiking, snowshoeing, camping, fishing, and especially hunting and spending time in Montana.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theresa Jewett of Jay. Jim & Theresa were married on October 7, 1967. He is also survived by his children and their families, Travis Jewett his wife Mollie and their children, Casey & Geneva of Orlando, FL, and Jessica Jewett her husband Nate Herron and their children, Destiny, Ivory & Felicity Herron of Berkshire; his father, Arlin Jewett of Berkshire Center; his sisters and their husbands, Marilyn & Ed Gelinas of Grand Isle, and Linda & Jim Foster of Poulsbo, WA; many nieces, nephews, and good friends including, Ann & Jim Benoit. He was predeceased by his mother, Geneva (Johnson) Jewett on December 30, 2001; and his brother, Richard Jewett on January 8, 2012.

In keeping with Jims wishes, he will be cremated. A graveside memorial service to be held at the Berkshire Center Cemetery will be announced next spring. There will be no visiting hours.
