James Royea Sr.

RICHFORD - James B. Royea, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025.

James was born in Richford on October 15, 1950 to Basil and Winifred (Currier) Royea.

James enjoyed much of his time spent outdoors, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed woodworking and making crafts for the people he loved. James had a big heart for his family, and he was never afraid to speak his mind. James loved his music from rock-n-roll to country, and dancing with his fiancé.

James is survived by his fiancé, Nelda Knox; children, Jane Longley and her husband Roy, Kathy Royea and her significant other, Tony Dupra, Jamie Stockdale, Jennifer Royea, and James Royea Jr; grandchildren, Jamie Jacobs, Ashley Royea-Longley, Sonia Wood, and Katie Brassil, and many grand and great grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia Cox and Gary Royea. James is predeceased by his parents, Basil and Winifred; siblings, Dale, Kevin, and Martha; granddaughter, Emily Brassil.

A service will be held this spring at the convenience of the family.
