Jamie Lewis

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jamie Alan Lewis, age 56, on January 14, 2025 at the Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas.

He was born in Burlington, Vermont on December 21, 1968. 

He leaves behind his mother, Donna Gervais and step-father, Marcel Gervais; his two brothers, Jade Lewis and his partner Tina Gallant Cota, and Barry Gervais and his wife Jodi; his girlfriend, Sherri Donaldson; his aunts and uncle, Diane Pilon, Judy Mayo, and John Lewis; and several nieces & nephews. 

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten. He will always be in our heart, until we meet again. We’d like to share a prayer that seems fitting:

When You Don’t Know

Theres a single prayer called the “I don’t know” prayer. You just go off somewhere quiet and hidden, and walk right up to the heart of God and say, “I don’t know. I don’t know where to go from here. I don’t know how to process this. I don’t know what to do with these emotions. I don’t know how to handle this situation.” It covers a lot of “I don’t knows.” And with even the tiniest bit of faith you have left, you say, “But You Know.” And you leave it there. God always hears that prayer, and it brings peace. I find myself praying this prayer often. May peace be given to the person who drops an “Amen” and shares. 

 At this time, there will be no public services for Jamie.
