RICHFORD - Jean M. Snide, age 52, passed away Saturday morning October 26, 2013 at her home with her loving family at her side. Jeans family wishes to thank the community for their thoughtfulness, exceptional care provided and generosity during Jeans illness as well as the nurses and support staff at Franklin County Home Health Agency.
She was born December 25, 1960 in Newport, VT the daughter of the late Charles R. & Katherine (Wetherby) Bergeron.
Jean grew up in Richford and was a 1978 graduate of Richford High School. She was a 1980 graduate of the Fanny Allen School of Nursing and was employed as a nurse for over 30 years. Jean married Chris Russell Snide on top of Mount Mansfield on July 5, 1982. She lived in Oregon for 10 years and moved back to the family home in Richford in 2001 and was employed as a LPN for NOTCH Health Care.
Jean had a passion for photography and created her own business, MaidenVT where she specialized in Vermont scenic pictures, family portraits, senior class photos and weddings. Through the years she received many awards for her scenic photos including recognition from the St. Albans Messenger and the Vermont State Parks used many of her photos.
Jean is survived by her husband, Chris Snide of Corbett, OR; her daughters and their husbands, Heather & Jason Fusco of Richford, Dakota & Bradley Alexander of Sanford, ME; her son, Austin Snide of Troutdale, OR; her grandchildren, Elijah & Benson Alexander, Maddox Fusco & Knox Snide; her brothers, Charles Bergeron Jr. of Richford, Robert Bergeron of Gresham, OR, & John Bergeron and his wife Karen of Chittenden; her sister, Gloria Bergeron of Colchester; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Jean was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Snide.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Karl Hahr officiating. The family will gather at St. Matthews Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 323 Church St., Enosburg Falls following the memorial service from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
