ENOSBURG FALLS - Joan Burr, age 70, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 16, 2013 at her home in Enosburg Falls.
She was born December 7, 1942 in West Chesterfield, NH to the late Alfred & Eleanor (Dodge) Champney.
Joan was born and raised as a farm girl in West Chesterfield. She loved being outside and spending time with animals; Joan especially liked horseback riding. She and her husband, Kermit ran the general store in West Chesterfield for several years until they retired and moved to Vermont. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her 1st husband, Kermit White Sr. of Enosburg Falls; children, Melissa Hade of West Chesterfield, NH; Cecilia & Gary Hilliard of Hinsdale, NH; Kermit Jr. & Robin White of Berkshire and Sheldon & Dawna White of Newport, NH; grandchildren, Shiloh & Josh LaMorder, Adam Hade, Jennifer & Michael Norcia, Angela & Richard Gilbert, Kelly Chickering, Gary Hilliard II, Alex & Emily White, Justin White & Samantha Pothier and Brandon & Holly White and 17 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by a son-in-law, Glen Hade and her 2nd husband Robert Burr.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in the West Chesterfield Cemetery in New Hampshire.
