ENOSBURG FALLS - Joseph A. St. Cyr, age 93, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at the Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls.
He was born April 6, 1931 in West Berkshire to the late Oliver & Sylvia (Smith) St. Cyr.
Joseph served his country during the Korean War from 1952-1954. After his return from service, Joseph found his lifelong companion in his beloved wife, Barbara (Deuso) St. Cyr, they were married February 5, 1955. A hardworking man, Joseph worked many jobs throughout his life, sometimes three at a time. He dedicated 33 years of his life to ITT Surprenant Wire & Cable in Clinton, MA. His work ethic and commitment to his craft were unwavering, earning him the respect of his colleagues and the company as he was awarded employee of the year.
In his leisure time, Joseph found solace in the great outdoors. Whether hunting, working in the woods, or enjoying a friendly game of horseshoes, he found joy in life's simple pleasures.
He is survived by his wife Barbara St. Cyr; children, Oliver St. Cyr and his significant other Jean Cordella, Ronald St. Cyr and his wife Kathy, Marjorie Homand and her husband Scott, Morris St. Cyr and his wife Rhonda, Sheila Marshia and her husband Jim, Christine O'Toole and her husband Tom, Rosy Gaffney and her husband Steve, and John St. Cyr and his wife Amanda; 21 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; siblings, Helen Parent, Gisele Gervais, Jean St. Cyr and his wife Debbie, Oscar St. Cyr and his wife Linda, and Raymond St. Cyr and his wife Barbara; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his siblings, Antoine St. Cyr, Pauline Weber and her husband Norman, Leo St. Cyr and his wife Shirley, Irene Champagne and her husband Henry, Anna Maynard and her husband Jack, and Paul St. Cyr; in-laws, Charles & Bernice Deuso; and siblings-in-law, Roger Parent, Linda St. Cyr, Robert Gervais, Robert Deuso, Wendell Deuso, Shirley Deuso and her husband Everett, and Myles Deuso.
Friends & family are invited to Joseph's life celebration to include a funeral service on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in St. Isidore's Cemetery in Montgomery. A reception will follow at Stonebrook at the Dairy Center.
