Joshua Sweet

SHELDON - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joshua Bryant Sweet.

Joshua passed peacefully in his sleep on September 12, 2024.

He was born on February 21st, 1989 in Fort Hood, Texas to the late David Sweet Sr. and Lisa (Bushey) Sweet.

Anyone who knew Josh loved him. He was always there to lend a helping hand, a smile or an ear. Joshua attended St. Albans City School and later went on to working in carpentry, flooring and woodworking, this made him a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his only daughter and princess, Skyler Sweet his chit brick as he affectionately called her, his mother Lisa Sweet; older brother Dave Sweet and his wife Rebecca, nephew, David Sweet III, niece, Natalia, paternal grandmother, Gloria Sweet who he affectionately called gimp, his best friend, brother in life, and god father to his daughter, Nikia Russel Green; his cousin who he thought of as a brother, Danny Sweet, another cousin who he thought of as a sister, and god mother to his daughter, Melissa "Missa", special friend, Hunter Davis, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Joshua was predeceased by his father, David Sweet Sr., his brother, Joseph Sweet, paternal grandfather, Robert Sweet Jr., uncles, Daniel and Robert Sweet III, maternal grandparents, Dorcas Beyor and Joesph Bushey.

Joshua will be forever missed by all those who knew him. As he would say, it's not goodbye, it's see you later. So until we see you again, R.I.P. Red.

In respecting Josh's wishes there will be no public services for him.
