SHELDON - Joyce A. Gamache, age 58, passed away Monday evening March 8, 2010 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington following a brief illness.
She was born January 26, 1952 in St. Albans, VT the daughter of the late Harvey & Catherine (Martin) Blow.
Joyce was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of the Georgia Plains Baptist Church where she had served as the auditor of the church and volunteered for many church events. She had been working at the Fairfax School Cafeteria for the Underwood Catering Group until recently, when illness forced her to stop.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved anything to do with dolphins and also loved all of the kids at the Fairfax School.
She is survived by her sons, Kelly Raymond & Darren Raymond both of Sheldon, and Jason Raymond and his Fianc Kaitlin Baxter of Richford; 3 grandchildren, Desiree, Alisha & Caleb Raymond; 2 brothers and their wives, David & Nancy Blow of Winooski and James & Jodi Blow of Wittmann, AZ, and, VT; 2 sisters, Jone & Perry Dallas of Glendale, AZ and Janet & Steve Bissonette of Ferrisburg; several nieces and nephews that reside in Vermont Arizona & Florida; her former mothers-in-law, Doris Raymond of Sheldon and Mary Gamache of South Burlington. Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by 2 brothers, Kenneth & Raymond Blow.
A memorial service will be held Friday March 12, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the Georgia Baptist Church, 1493 Stonebridge Road, Georgia with Pastor Charles Kuthe officiating.
A time of visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the funeral.
