BERKSHIRE - June Elaine Mercure, 56, passed away Monday September 6, 2010 at the St. Albans Health Care & Rehab facility in St. Albans with her family at her side.

She was born in St. Albans, June 28, 1954 the daughter of Fred & Anna Reed and at the age of one month June was adopted by Arthur & Louise Doe.

June loved taking care of kids and made that her career for most of her life; she especially loved to take care of her grandchildren, Dakota & Chyenne Malin. She was a vibrant woman who loved her family very much. She loved to cook at family gatherings. She was well known and well liked by many and had many, many friends. June was a member and held the office of Historian of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #42 of Enosburg Falls.

She is survived by her significant other, Kelly Dinsmore of Berkshire; her adoptive mother, Louise Doe of Richford; her children, SSG Anthony Mercure and his wife Christina of Ft. Carson, CO., Daniel Mercure and his wife Holly of Sheldon, and Celeste Malin of Richford; Kellys son, Mike Dinsmore of Morrisville; her grandchildren, Dakota Malin, Chyenne Malin, Victoria Dove Mercure, Blake Mercure, and Hailee Boo Mercure; her siblins, Carol Tatro and her husband Ricky of St. Albans, Barbara Bovat of Alburg, Annette Reed of White River Jct., Stanley Reed of Huntington, Alfred Reed and his wife Sue of Sheldon, and Charles Reed of Burlington; her adoptive siblings, Hibbard Doe and his wife Claire of Richford, and Francis Doe of Canaan; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her biological parents, Fred & Anna Reed; and her adoptive father, Arthur Doe.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 10, 2010 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Rev. Karl Hahr celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in the Richford Center Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 5-7 PM from at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main Street, Richford.
