BAKERSFIELD - June E. Savage, age 88, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born June 22, 1925 in Enosburg Falls the daughter of the late Hayden & Glenna (Reed) Snell.
She was a resident of Bakersfield for the past 49 years and a former resident of Enosburg Falls. She was a longtime housekeeper for the Howrigan families in Fairfield. She was an avid reader especially science fiction & westerns. She loved everything about Vermont and the outdoors from going for rides through the countryside to mowing her lawn. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing and when the opportunity presented itself she enjoyed traveling. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Rosanne Savage of Bakersfield, and Muriel Savage of Colchester; son-in-law, Roger Stimpson of West Enosburgh; Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren, Steven Stimpson of West Enosburg his partner Holly Hiscock and their son Jeffrey of Chateauguay, NY, Chris Stimpson his wife Gisele and their daughter Morgan of Enosburg Falls, Toni Savage of Columbia, MD, Sean Savage his wife Jennifer and their children, Zachary & Hailey of St. Albans, Jennie (Savage) Kerner her husband Scott and their children, Ryan & Dylan of Colchester, Shannon (Savage) Daoud her husband Andy and their children, Megan, Kaylin & Joshua of Hillsboro, NJ and Amanda (Savage) Waldo her husband John their child Roger of Waterville. Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her husband Wendall Savage; her sons, Roger, Allen, & James Savage; her daughter, Carolyn Stimpson her grandson, Daniel Stimpson; and her close friend Merritt Patch
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. Interment will follow in the West Enosburg Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
