Kenneth Roberts
September 22, 1939 — June 18, 2011
ENOSBURG FALLS, VT / NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Kenneth L. Roberts, age 71, passed away Saturday morning June 18, 2011 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility with his sister, Dorothy at his side following a long illness with diabetes. His sister, Jane Cardwell whom Kenny was close to was not able to be with him due to health reasons.
He was born September 22, 1939 in Wilkes-Barre, PA the son of the late Richard B. & Dorothy C. (Barney) Roberts.
Kenny graduated from high school in Victorville, CA and lived most of his adult life in New Brunswick, NJ. Kenny had a passion for cooking which led him to opening Hardtimes Restaurant in New Brunswick which he operated for several years before opening another restaurant in Philadelphia, PA which he operated for a couple of years until his poor health forced him to retire. In October of 2010 he moved to Vermont to make his home with his sister, Dorothy E. Roberts in Enosburg Falls, VT.
Kenny enjoyed watching football and was a faithful New York Giants fan. He had a love of flowers and animals especially cats. Most importantly to Kenny was spending time with good friends.
In keeping with Kennys wishes he will be cremated and there will be no services. He will be laid to rest in the family lot at the Forty Fort Cemetery in Denison, PA.
