RICHFORD - Kenneth M. Martin, Sr., age 76, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side.
He was born in St. Albans on December 6, 1939 the son of the late Wallace Sr. & Angelina (Meunier) Martin.
Ken attended Richford High School and earned his GED in 1978. He had served in the Vermont Army National Guard. During his working career he drove truck for McAllister Lumber and Bell Gates Lumber. Ken enjoyed camping, small farming, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding and traveling, especially spending winters in Florida.
He is survived by his wife Jane (Fitchett) Martin of Richford. Ken & Jane were married January 27, 1962. He is also survived by his daughters, Terri & Evan Mercy of Richford, Sally & Michael Sweet of Berkshire, Mary & Paul Boudreau of Franklin and Dawn & Wendell Emch Jr. of South Hero; his sons, Kenneth Martin Jr. of Enosburgh, Wesley Martin and his girlfriend Tieka Haynes of Enosburg Falls, and Matthew Martin of Richford; his grandchildren, Maggie & Norm Christy, Krystin & Will Stevens, Josh Sweet, Neil & Delight Kinney, Ashley Boudreau and her boyfriend Calvin Miller, Chelsea Boudreau and her boyfriend Beau Rainville, Kayla Jacobs-Martin and her boyfriend TJ Aldrich, Kenyon Jacobs Martin, Haley Thompson Wright, Tylan Emch & Allison Martin; his great grandchildren, Logan, Kayden & Dominec Kinney, Shawn Aponte & Dalton Charest; his sister, Patricia Pudvah of Zephyrhills, Fl.; his sisters-in-law, Julie Lacross and Joanne Ovitt and her husband Larry all of Enosburgh; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephew; and his canine companions, Queeny & Rinnie. Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by his brother, Wallace Martin Jr.; brother-in-law, Charles Pudvah; and father & mother-in-law, Wesley & Anna Fitchett.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
