Kenneth A. Sweet

BERKSHIRE - Kenneth A. Sweet, age 69, passed away on Thursday, April 02, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born in Richford on March 9, 1946 to the late Douglas & Opal (Sherrer) Sweet.

Ken was raised in Berkshire and a lifelong farmer. His father passed away in 1960, when Ken was 14 years old, from that day on he was running the farm. He would wake up before school to do chores so his family could keep the farm. Ken also picked up exceptional mechanic skills and a love for maple sugaring from being on the farm. Ken enjoyed going to horse and tractor pulls but most of all he loved spending time with his son, Aaron.

He leaves behind his significant other, Janette Ducey and their son, Aaron Sweet of Berkshire; a half-brother, Gordon Jones of East Farnham, Que. and 2 aunts, Audrey Kitt of Bedord, Que. and Shirley Gardner of Dunham, Que. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating.

A time of visitation will be held Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the hour of the service.
