BAKERSFIELD - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lane Daniel Lawyer, at the age of 51. On Thursday, January 2, 2020 he passed away unexpectedly with his loving family by his side at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in St. Albans on October 20, 1968. He was the last child of six, born to Pauline (Dufresne) Lawyer and the late Donald Lawyer.
Lane lived his entire life in Bakersfield, Vermont where he loved to be outdoors. He graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1986. He worked with his Dad and brothers in their family sawmill. He loved being in the woods, cutting and splitting wood for his Dad. He also worked in the family snowmobile business repairing snow machines and repairing small engines. His hobbies included four-wheeling with his friends, hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his fianc, Lisa Luman and her grandson, Keegan of Bakersfield; his mother, Pauline Lawyer; siblings, Darlene Green and her husband Larry of Enosburg Falls, Donna Young and her husband Gary of Bakersfield, Debbie Curtis and her husband Asa of Enosburg Falls, Larry Lawyer and his wife Cynthia of Bakersfield, and Lee Lawyer and his wife Theresa of Enosburg Falls; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Lane was predeceased by his father, Donald Lawyer on December 19, 2018.
Lanes family would like to thank the University of Vermont Medical Center for the wonderful care and compassion they showed to Lane, and his family, during this devastating time.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT.
