ENOSBURG FALLS – Laurel “Squeak” A. Freeman, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2021 at Brownway Residence in Enosburg Falls with his loving daughter by his side. He was born in Highgate Falls on November 10, 1942 to the late Jesse Freeman. Squeak joined the United States Army and proudly served in the Vietnam War. After returning home, he made a career in driving truck, which he did for over 30 years. Squeak enjoyed fishing, typically in Highgate Falls. He was always the happiest when surrounded by family, especially his daughter Patrice and her husband Raymond. He is survived by his daughter, Patrice Drapeau and her husband Raymond of Raymond, NH; special grand pets, Bentley, Tucker and Lily; several special nieces especially, Linda Gagne and her family, Robin, Brian, Paiton and Hunter Gagne; sister-in-law, Madeline Freeman; several nephews, cousins, and friends; and his ex-wife and mother of his child, Joanne Freeman. Besides his mother, Squeak was predeceased by his siblings, Morris, Edwin and Robert Freeman, Naomi Abare, and Jackie Duprey. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff at Brownway Residence for the wonderful care they offered Squeak. In respecting Squeak’s wishes, there will be no public services.
