ST. ALBANS - Leah Louise (McBryde) Sears, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, surrounded by her loving family.
Leah was born in Richford on September 1, 1945 to the late Malcolm & Jessie (Gilbar) McBryde.

Leah was a wonderful homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and furry friend, Kitty. She enjoyed reading, especially the County Courier on Thursday, knitting and cooking. She will always be remembered for her sugar cookies. We could always count on our very own bag of cookies cut with love and colored sugar to match every holiday.
She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Bourgeois and her husband, Randy and Cheryl Whitaker and her husband, Keith both of St. Albans; grandchildren, Tiffany Couture and her husband, Bryan, Brian Tatro, Derek Tatro and his wife, Krista, Brandon and Blake Steber, Brianna Whitaker, and Alison and Evan Bourgeois; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Janice McBryde; and very special friends, Annalou, Jean, Dale and Joyceann. Besides her parents, Leah was predeceased by her brother Robert McBryde.
