CARIBOU, MAINE - Leo G. Goofy McLaughlin, Jr., age 65, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 13, 2010, surrounded by his children at his daughters home in Enosburg Falls, VT.
He was born July 30, 1944 in Caribou, ME the son of the late Leo G. McLaughlin Sr. & Lena Mae (Wilcox) McLaughlin.
Leo was a mechanic by trade and also drove truck for many farmers in the area. Leos passions in life were his family, many friends and fishing which was his favorite pastime. He will be remembered for his willingness to always be there for anyone who needed his help.
He is survived by 3 sons, Leo G. McLaughlin, III and his wife Karen of St. Albans, VT, Mark McLaughlin of Winooski, VT, Jason McLaughlin and his wife Jackie of Caribou, ME; 3 daughters and their husbands, Lisa & Richard Ouellette of Enosburg Falls, VT, Nicole & Stephen LeSuer, Jr of New Sweden, ME, and Denise & Gary Whitmore of Ashland, ME; 15 grandchildren, Shelley, Sierra, Heather, Courtney, Briana, Mark Jr., Lucas, Sebastian, Tyana, Brooklyn, Nakeisha, Richie, Jeremiah, Devin and Stephen III; 3 great grandchildren, Savanna, Damien and Kaylee; 2 sisters, Thelma Frost and Mavis Carson both of Woddland, ME; several nieces and nephews; also his childhood friend, Bud Skidgel of Caribou, ME. Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his 3 brothers, Freddy, Raymond & Charlie McLaughlin; and 6 sisters, Pricilla Drost, Mable Brown, Myrtle Sjoberg, Gretchen Murphy, Helen McShea, and Shirley DeMoura.
Leo will be sadly missed and happily remembered by his family and many friends.
Per Leos request there will be no funeral services or visiting hours.
