Lillia Bennett

BERKSHIRE - Lillia M. Bennett, age 81, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington following a brief illness.

She was born in Enosburgh on March 16, 1936 the daughter of the late Floyd & Harriet (Joubert) Ashton.

Lillia was a lifelong farmer & caregiver. Over the last several years she has been the caregiver for her grandson and partner in crime , Parker. She enjoyed gardening, playing BINGO, raising animals, feeding & watching the birds and visiting with friends.

She is survived by her children, Danny Peters and his wife Debbie of Lyon Mountain, NY, Debra Wetherby and her husband Bruce of Berkshire, Patricia Davis and her husband Robert of Highgate, Roxanna Hall of Bristol, Audrey Christian and her husband Mark of Winchendon, MA, Penny Osicky of Berkshire, Kerry Hall and his Fiance Lesa Ryea of Berkshire, and Dulcey Clair and her husband Robert of Enosburg Falls; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren; her brother, Floyd Ashton and his wife Jeannette of Enosburg Falls; her sister, Barbara Greenwood of Berkshire; her sister-in-law, Helen Ashton of St. Albans; many nieces, nephews and extended family close friends . Besides her parents, Lillia was predeceased by her husband Walter Bennett; her grandson, Jason Wetherby; her granddaughter, Richelle Paradee; and her great grandson, Carter Gagne.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will follow in the Enosburgh Center Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the funeral.
