Linda Bourdeau

SWANTON- Linda Bourdeau, age 72, passed away on Friday, March 14th, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born on March 16th, 1952 to Alfred and Aurore (Laplante) Jette.

Linda graduated from Swanton High School in 1970. Linda married her husband on August 14, 1971. Linda loved spending time with family, going on rides, doing crosswords, bingo, and making her glass bird baths and flowers. Linda enjoyed her travels to Hawaii and Alaska, two places many people don't get to go to, as well as other trips to Cherry Grove, SC, Winter Haven, FL, 1,000 Islands and all the sister trips. Linda was a Service Representative/ Teller with Chittenden Bank for 32 years in Swanton. Her life was an example of resilience and courage. Linda enjoyed motorcycle rides, especially after getting her own license.

Linda is survived by her husband Michael; children Terry Bourdeau-Loyer and her husband Patrick, Alex Bourdeau and his wife, Erin, and Anthony Bourdeau and his wife Laura; many grandchildren; brother, Andre Jette and his wife Sue; sisters, Mariel Parent and her husband Jacques, and Joanne Wilson. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Aurore Jette; brother, Norman Jette, and brother-in-law, Jim Wilson.

Memorial contributions in Linda's memory may be made to The University of Vermont Cancer Center Grasse Mount 411 Main Street Burlington, VT 05401.

Friends and family will be invited to Linda's life celebration to include visitation on Friday, March 21st, 2025 from 1:00-3:00PM with a memorial service following at 3:00PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton, VT 05488. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
