Lorrial Smith

ST.ALBANS - Lorrial C. Smith, age 90, husband of Barbara (Lattime) Smith, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday October 23, 2013 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born June 5, 1923 in East Franklin, VT the son of the late Leonard & Ada (Guthrie) Smith.
Loriall grew up in East Franklin/West Berkshire and was a 1941 graduate of Enosburg Falls High School. He entered the U.S. Army serving during WWII receiving his honorable discharge in 1945. On May 10, 1947 he married Barbara Lattime and they made their home for many years in Massachusetts where Lorrial was employed as a technician at Mirak Chevrolet. Upon his retirement, Lorrial & Barbara returned to Vermont making their home in St. Albans where he took part-time work at Hannafords and was a member of the American Legion Post #1. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Smith of St. Albans; his son, Gary R. Smith of Hampton, NH; and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Jason McConnell officiating. Interment will follow in the East Franklin Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
