ENOSBURG FALLS - Malberge C. Molly Mercy, age 91, widow of Calvin Mercy, passed away Tuesday September 13, 2011 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans with her children at her side.
She was born May 11, 1920 in St. Armand, Quebec Canada the daughter of the late Alfred & Elizabeth (Touchette) Ploof.
Malberge was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She devoted her life to being a wonderful and caring wife, mother & grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Allison Mercy and his wife Maryanne of Enosburg Falls, Camilla Brouillette and her husband Gary of Barre, and Wanda Snider and her husband Douglas of Enosburg; her grandchildren, Scott Mercy, Karla Newton, Joel Mercy, Steven Brouillette, Joan Robtoy, Michael Brouillette, Julie Snider, Michele Johnson, Sara Ovitt; 17 great grandchildren, Samara & Talia Mercy, Dylan & Emma Newton, Brandon & Calvin Mercy, Brianna & Dustin Brouillette, Landon & Celyn Brouillette, Zachary & Emily Robtoy , James Cooper, Gabriel Johnson, Olivia Ovitt, and Mason & Logan Ferno; a great great grandson Holden Anthony Perrotte; several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Erwin Eddy of Chester. Besides her parents, Malberge was predeceased by her husband Calvin on November 3, 1984; a great granddaughter, Sophie Robtoy; her sisters, Agnes Gauthier, Alberta Lumbra, Floris Lumbra, Blanche Prive & Reina Mayotte; and her brothers, Roger & Rolland Ploof.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi St., Enosburg Falls with Rev. Roger Charbonneau celebrating the Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls
