Marcel Dragon

December 10, 1928 — March 21, 2011

ENOSBURG FALLS - Marcel R. Dragon passed away on Monday, March 21st after a long illness at the Starr Farm Nursing Center in Burlington. Marcel passed away with his loving family around him.
Marcel was born December 10, 1928 in Sheldon the son of Archie & Henrietta (Fontaine) Dragon.
Marcel lived most of his life in Enosburg Falls. He worked for years at the Bailey Grain Company and finished his work career working at the Enosburg Falls Power Plant. Marcel served in the US Army.
Marcel was a quiet man with a wonderful sense of humor. He always had a positive outlook for each day. Marcel was always willing to give a helping hand if someone would need it. He enjoyed traveling, hiking and hunting.
He married his love of his life Gala D. Lamonda on February 2, 1963. His pride & joy was his family. He enjoyed his grandchildren & great grandchildren and loved to make them laugh.
Marcel captured many memories with the photographs he took over the years. He always had his camera ready. Over the years the family would pull the photographs out and go down memory lane. Marcel knew how much his family enjoyed these photographs and will cherish these and the memories they hold.
Marcel leaves behind his three daughters, Cathy and her husband Norman Michaud of Georgia, Marsha and her husband Roland Skip Lamore, Jr, of Essex Junction, and Lisa of Enosburg Falls; his step-children and their spouses; Susan and her husband Bill Deuso, of Enosburg Falls, Norman and his wife Donna (Wright) Couture of Enosburg Falls, Linda and her husband Francis Elkins, of Montgomery, and Tina and her husband David Record of Richford; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gala in 2005, his step son Danny Couture in 1994; his granddaughter, Michelle Snider in 2002; and his great granddaughter, Alyssa Gervais in 1996
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Cemetery in Richford. There will be no visiting hours.
