RICHFORD - Marguerite B. Guyette, age 90, widow of Donald Guyette, passed away Friday July 9, 2010 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born April 19, 1920 in East Richford, VT the daughter of the late Clifford & Lillis (Barnett) Wilson.
Marguerite was a lifelong resident of Richford where she had worked at The American Hotel, Pats Place Restaurant and the Elementary School. She also worked at the Wedel Inn in Montgomery Center.
Marguerite was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who took great pride in being a homemaker. She loved to sew and knit which she not only did for her family but many families in the community. She also enjoyed traveling and going for rides.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Stewart & Robin Guyette of Richford, and Carol & Danny Boomhower of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Michael Boomhower and his wife Bonnie, Dana Boomhower and his fianc Chelsea Kennison, Stewart D. Guyette, and Sarah Guyette; her great grandson, Jack Boomhower; her feline companion, Cupcake; and many family members in Mansonville, Quebec. Besides her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Donald Guyette on February 14, 2009.
Marguerites family would like to thank Dr. Christian Thomas and his staff, the doctors and nurses in surgical services and the staff on the med/surg floor at the Northwestern Medical Center for the excellent care provided to Marguerite.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford with Rev. Daniel Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 Am until the hour of the funeral.
