Marion Elizabeth Teague

March 19, 1925 — December 5, 2008

Sheldon - Marion Elizabeth Teague, 83, a resident of Rt. 105 in Sheldon passed away on Friday morning, December 5, 2008 at Redstone Villa in St. Albans with her family at her side.

Marion was born in Sheldon on March 19, 1925, the daughter of Leo T. Sr. and Elizabeth Libby (Cross) West. She attended the one room school on Rice Hill in Sheldon and Franklin High School. She was married to Donald Teague who died in February of 1977.

Active in Legion and VFW Auxiliary activities, Marion was a Past President of Unit 88 American Legion Auxiliary in Sheldon Springs and Past President of Vermont Department of American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a lifetime member of Unit One Legion Auxiliary and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, both in St. Albans.

Marion was an avid bingo player, enjoyed horseshoes, cookouts, playing poker, cooking, baking and, especially, The Celtics and Boston Red Sox. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Sheldon.

Surviving are Marions children Deborah Roberge and her husband Louis of Sheldon and their children Jeff Desrochers of Alburg, Kelly Bergeron and her husband Brad of Swanton, Meggan Roberge and her fiance Ryan Dulude of Winooski and Darren Roberge of Sheldon; her son Leo Teague and his wife Carol of Sheldon and their children Shawn Teague and his wife Cynthia of Enosburg and Donnie Teague of Highgate; her daughter Nancy Jettie and her husband Fred of Sheldon and their children Amanda Tatro and her husband John of St. Albans and Jody Peasly of St. Albans; her son Randy Teague of Sheldon and his children Anthony and Alexander Teague; 9 Great Grandchildren; 3 brothers Leo West, Jr. and his wife Marie Anne of Enosburg, Leland West and his wife Sharon of Laferier, TX and Reginald West of Highgate; 8 sisters Joyce Menard and her husband Daniel of Fairfield, Elaine Reed and her husband Donald of Sheldon, Carolyn Rondeau and her husband Andre of Sheldon, Patricia Nolan and her husband Dennis of Highgate, Barbara Colby and her husband Richard of St. Albans, Elizabeth Norris and her husband Wayne of St. Albans, Virginia Goulette of St. Albans and Irene Montgomery of Franklin; nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Reginald Teague and his wife Lucille and sister-in-law Anita Teague all of CT.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by a daughter -in-law Linda Teague; sisters Wanda Plante and Gloria Beyor; brothers-in-law Fernando Plante, Paul Goulette, Robert Montgomery, Carlton Beyor and Phelos Beyor; a sister-in-law Rita West and 2 granddaughters Kerri Lee Lynn Teague and Grace Ellen Teague.

The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Sheldon with the Rev. Bernard Bechard, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anthonys Catholic Cemetery in Sheldon. Friends are invited to call at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls on Monday evening from 7-9PM
