SAINT ALBANS - Mark L. Choiniere, age 67, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2019 after a lengthy illness at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
He was born in St. Albans on June 25, 1951 one of eight children to the late Wilfred & Emilienne (Trahan) Choiniere.
Mark graduated from Highgate High School in 1969. He worked on the family farm and building construction for a few years. In his earlier years, Mark enjoyed working with animals, playing baseball and ice hockey with his friends. He loved deer hunting as well as racoon hunting with his hounds, fishing and snowmobiling with his Artic Cat. He appreciated spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. During Marks most difficult hardships he would never give up, keeping his positive outlook. He was an extremely generous man, loving, kind and had quite a sense of humor.
Mark leaves his sisters, Rachel Boudreau, Marie Trevithick and Leonie Nadeau and his brothers Allen Choiniere and Norman Choiniere. He also leaves many nieces & nephews, aunts and cousins. Besides his parents, Mark was predeceased by his sisters, Florence Dexter and Pauline Comin; brothers in-law, Ralph Dexter, Michael Boudreau and John Trevithick; sister in-law, Nancy Choiniere and his nephews, Michael Choiniere, Brian Boudreau, and Ryan Nadeau.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 9-10 AM at Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 15th at 11 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, Highgate Center. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery in Highgate.
