East Berkshire - Mark Paul Emile Choquette, age 45, passed away on Thursday evening, July 15, 2010 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.
Mark was born on August 11, 1964 in Newport, the son of Ernest and Louise (Robillard) Choquette. He was a 1982 graduate of North Country Union High School in Newport where he was an active member of the F.F.A. On September 21, 1985 Mark married Lisa Morse.
Mark had been a dairy farmer all of his life. He first farmed in partnership with his parents in Newport Center and, in 1993, moved to East Berkshire to operate his own farm. Mark had a life-long love of farming, especially rotational grazing. Mark was a communicant of All Saints Church in Richford and was currently serving as Grand Knight of St. Anthonys Council # 2610, Knights of Columbus. He served on the Berkshire School Board for 11 years and especially enjoyed sugaring and snowmobiling.
In addition to his wife Lisa of East Berkshire and his parents of Newport Center, Mark is survived by his children Adam Choquette and his wife April and their daughter Katherine, Paul Choquette, Andrew Choquette and Elizabeth Choquette, all of East Berkshire; his brothers Jack Choquette and his wife Susan of Palo Alto, CA, Fred Choquette and his wife Sondra of Concord, NC. and Gary Choquette and his wife Lorm of Bangkok, Thailand; his sisters Lise Couture and her husband Daniel of East Montpelier, Jane Burroughs and her husband Peter of East Montpelier and Dr. Rose Kenney and her husband Christopher of Bend, OR; his sister-in-law, Sara LeBlanc and her husband Andre of Lowell; his mother-in-law, Annette Morse of Lowell; nieces and nephews.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery in Lowell. Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave. in Enosburg Falls.
