ENOSBURG FALLS - Mary E. Bapp, age 62, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in St. Albans on April 14, 1953 the daughter of the late Harry & Mattie (Putnam) Lacross.
Marys working career started at Misty Mountain Sewing Factory and the Dairy Center. She then worked in Custodial Services as a supervisor at Smugglers Notch for 33 years retiring in 2013. Mary enjoyed bird watching especially Cardinals, gardening, crocheting, crafts, painting, and traveling to Maine & Florida. While in Florida she loved to watch the dolphins. Most of all Mary loved and cherished the time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her fianc, Robert Burns of Enosburg Falls; her children, Jeannette Hogle and her husband Scott of St. Albans, Chad Bapp and his wife Heather of Berkshire, and Rae Bapp and her boyfriend Josh Popple of St. Albans; Bobs children, Robert Burns and his wife Becky of Berkshire, Ricky Burns and his wife Lisa of Enosburg Falls, Robin White and her husband Kermit of Berkshire, and Rodney Burns and his wife Jennifer of Enosburg Falls; 24 grandchildren, Brendan, Sebastian, Chelsea, Caleb, Scott, Jaylynn, Peggy, Kyle, Rocky, Josh, Dustin, Hunter, Bethany, Destiney, Jesse, Dustin, Amie, Alyssa, Alex, Justin, Alec, Hannah, Sophie & Luke; 12 great grandchildren, Peyton, Ryland, Kellan, Carson, Logan, Ava, Blake, Aaliyah, Jayden, Quincy, Chloe & Miley; her brothers, Ivan Lacross of Suffield, CT and Cecil Lacross and his wife Frances of East Enosburgh; her sister, Marlene Williams of Franklin; many nieces and nephews; the father of her children, Ernest Bapp of Enosburg Falls; and her faithful companion, Lassie. Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brothers, Reginald & Gardner Lacross; and her sister, Dorothy Gerrow.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the funeral.
