Bakersfield -- Maureen Ann Hennessey, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington surrounded by her family and friends.
Maureen was born on December 23, 1940 in Bellows Falls, VT, the daughter of Adrian J. and Margaret (Dee) Blanchard.
Maureen had worked for a number of years as a para-educator at the Bakersfield Elementary School. She was a collector of owls and an avid bird watcher. Maureen also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, wind chimes, Celtic music and, especially, spending time with her family and friends.
Maureen is survived by her devoted son, Shawn Hennessey of Bakersfield; a brother William Blanchard and his wife Carol of Bellows Falls; 2 sisters Shelia Patenaude and her husband William of Spofford, NH and Kathleen Coburn and her husband Nelson of Bellows Falls; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and nephews and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 9:00 AM at the United Church of Bakersfield, 3 Town Road in Bakersfield.
