ST. ALBANS - Melissa A. Salter, age 42, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

She was in St. Albans on March 21, 1982 to Raymond Salter Jr. and Rose (Dean) Salter.

Melissa's life was a testament to the joys of family and the simple pleasures that brought her immense happiness. As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into spoiling her children and grandchildren, creating unforgettable memories with each day spent at Lake Carmi, engaging in activities like adult coloring books, drawing, and watching scary movies together. Her enthusiasm for life shone brightly in day trips to theme parks, where laughter and adventure filled the air.

Among her most treasured roles, Melissa found immense joy in being a caring mother to her children, Jazmine, Mason, and Bryanna, and a proud grandmother to Owen and Scarlet. Melissa's essence was a beacon of light that radiated love, warmth, and compassion to all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jazmine Salter, Mason Salter, and Bryanna Salter; her grandchildren, Owen & Scarlet; her father, Raymond Salter Jr. and his wife Kathy; mother, Rose Salter; siblings, Ray Salter III, Chris Salter and his wife Tina, Travis Salter and his wife Danielle, Shannon Salter, Shantel Salter, and Corey Salter; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved cat, Boxer.

Friends & family are invited to Melissa's life celebration on Friday, October 18, 2024 to include visitation from 10-11:00 AM followed with a memorial service at 11:00 AM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickinson Avenue, Enosburg Falls, VT.
