Michael Corey

ENOSBURGH - Michael Corey, age 63, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

He was born in Morrisville on January 1, 1952 to the late Theodore & Evelyn (Dashno) Corey.

Michael spent his entire life in Vermont and married Valarie Cook in 1979. Throughout his career he worked at several area farms, at A.G. Anderson in Swanton for over 10 years and at Peerless Clothing in St. Albans for the past 18 years. Michael loved hunting, camping, sitting by the camp fire and snowmobiling but most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Valarie Corey of Enosburgh; children, Renee Badger and her husband Art of Richford and Theodore Corey and his wife Anna of Enosburgh; 4 grandchildren, Ann Marie and Devon Badger and Stephen and Joshua Corey; siblings, Randy Corey and his wife Karen of Enosburgh and Joyce Godin of Berkshire; a sister-in-law, Cathy Clark and her husband Ernest of Enosburgh; his beloved dog, Laddy and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by his siblings, Theodore Jr., Gaylord, Lynn and Sally Corey and Betsy Ploof.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating.

A time of visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service.
