BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE, NY - Michael Kelley, age 77, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the North Country Hospital in Newport, VT.
He was born in Blue Mountain Lake, NY on January 1, 1940 the son of the late, Frank & Madeline (Morrison) Kelley.
Michael attended Ausable Forks Catholic School, Warrensburg Central School, Indian Lake High School and graduated from Salmon Central High School in New York and Alamosa State College in Colorado. Following high school Michael entered in to the U.S. Marines receiving his honorable discharge in 1962. Michael loved to write poetry and follow baseball. He spent several years working in San Francisco, CA before moving to Burlington, VT.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Mary (Kelley) McCormick of Peru, NY and Joan Kelley Ryder of San Francisco, CA and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by a sister, Ann Bennett and her brother, Pat Kelley.
A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Blue Mountain Lake Cemetery, Durant Rd., Indian Lake, NY.
