Michael Paradee

FAIRFIELD - Michael Paradee, age 51, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his home in Fairfield surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Fairfield on March 1, 1964 to the late Frederick & Shelby (Glidden) Paradee.

Michael grew up in Fairfield and was a graduate of B.F.A. St. Albans class of 1982. He worked on the family farm until it sold and spent the last several years working at Fonda in St. Albans and Swan Valley Cheese in Swanton. Michael enjoyed fixing things for people and riding 4-wheelers. His friends and family were very important to him and he would do anything he could to help them out.

He is survived by his siblings, Mark Paradee and his wife Anne of Fairfield, Ann Sturgeon and her husband Edward of Enosburg, Roy Paradee and his wife Joy of Bakersfield and Joanne Minckler and her husband Steven of Sheldon; 6 nieces & nephews, Jennifer Langelier and her husband Josh, Christopher and Sherri Sturgeon, Allen Paradee and his wife Cecile and Sarah and Shelby Paradee; his aunts & uncles, Marilyn & Richard Almeida, Priscilla Johnson, Thomas & Ellen Paradee, Mary Jane & Richard Boudreau and Dora Paradee and several cousins and close friends. Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by his godmother, Anita Paradee and her husband Billy; his aunt Linda Rockwell and uncle David Johnson.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 5-8 pm at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Church Rd., Fairfield with Fr. William Giroux officiating. Interment will be held this spring in the Sheldon Village Cemetery.
