BAKERSFIELD - Michaella Micha Knight Lopes, age 16, passed away unexpectedly, Monday morning April 21, 2008 in Putnam, New York
Michaella was born April 23, 1991 in St. Albans the daughter of Michael & Danielle (St.Hilaire) Lopes
Michaella attended Enosburg Falls High School and was a junior who focused her studies in cosmetology and interior design. She loved sports and was a great athlete. She was involved in the soccer, track and dance team. She was also part of the snowboarding club.
Her hobbies included music, dance, phone and her special bond with her many friends.
Her passion was snowboarding at Jay Peak. Her love of nature and her passion for life were known by all. She loved her family and her friends more than anything. She is especially remembered for her love of life, infectious smile, inner beauty, and her incredible spirit. Micha is survived by her parents, Michael & Danielle Lopes; her sister, Allycia Lopes all of Bakersfield; her grandparents, Lynn & Butch Robare of North Hero, Albert & Barbara Lopes of Azores, Portugal and Clement & Louise St. Hilaire of Kelowna, BC Canada.
Her Uncles, Aunts and cousins as follows; James, Paula, Matthew and Joshua Lopes of Dennis MA, Patricia & Domingues Andres of Faial Azores Portugal, Rachelle St. Hilaire & Jon Quiser, Hunter, Taylor, Adam, Aimee & Samantha of Alburgh, David, Shelly, Dylan & Faith St. Hilaire of North Hero. She was predeceased by her cousin Sierra Lynn St. Hilaire.
A candle light vigil will be held Wednesday April 23, 2008 (Michas 17th birthday) at 8:00PM at the Enosburg Falls High School soccer field
Michas family will receive family and friends at their home on 2560 Witchcat Rd. in Bakersfield on Friday April 25th from 1-4 PM
A celebration of Michas life will be held Saturday April 26th at 1:00 PM at the Enosburg Falls High School gymnasium.
