ENOSBURG FALLS - Natalie Nan O. Guilmette, age 92, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born on February 28, 1926 in Enosburg Falls to the late Roland & Alice (Phillips) Messier.
Nan graduated from Richford High School. She married Richard Guilmette on October 12, 1946 and they made their home in Enosburg Falls. Nan was an active member of the community for many years. She served in several different municipal roles including Assistant Town Clerk and Village Treasurer, was an active member of the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, and a founding member of the board of directors for the Enosburg Falls Country Club. She worked as a bookkeeper for Wetherbees Hardware for several years also. Her favorite hobbies included playing golf and cribbage, sewing and knitting in her younger years, and most importantly, spending time with her beloved friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Paula Pettis and her husband John of Vergennes, Mark Guilmette and his wife Carol of Enosburgh, and Dean Guilmette and his wife Michelle of Franklin; 5 grandchildren, Erin Musser, Katherine Gregg and her husband Jason, Jessie Guilmette and her significant other, Ryan Ledbeater, Nick Guilmette and his significant other, Lacy Walker, and Brianna Guilmette and her significant other, Stephen Wilkins; 4 great grandchildren, Natalie & Catelyn Musser, Ellie Jane Gregg, and Bode Guilmette and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Nan was predeceased by her husband, Richard Guilmette; and her siblings, Hubert Steve Messier and his wife Phyllis, J. Wesley Messier and his wife Marjorie, Audrey Barry, and Bernolene Roddy and her husband Terry.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5-8:00 PM at Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls, VT.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church, Church St., Enosburg Falls, VT. Interment will follow in the South Richford Cemetery.
