EAST BERKSHIRE - Neil G. Kinney, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his family camp in Berkshire.
He was born May 5, 1968 in St. Albans the son of Raymond & Virginia (Messier) Kinney.
Neil was a man of many talents and a heart of gold. He would do anything, for anyone, at any time. Always the life of the party, Neil's infectious laughter and boisterous spirit made him a beloved figure in his community and beyond. His love for adventure knew no bounds; whether tearing up the trails on his 4-wheeler or cruising down the back roads in his truck, Neil was always ready for the next journey.
Neil's knack for fixing things was unmatched, earning him a reputation as the go-to guy for any mechanical or technical issues. His passion for operating heavy equipment and excavation led him to a successful career with the state of Vermont and even driving a milk truck, showcasing his diverse skills and work ethic. Neil found solace in the great outdoors, pursuing his love for hunting and fishing, and maple sugaring.
He is survived by his children, Neil R. Kinney and his wife Delight, and Nicholas Clark; his grandchildren, Logan Michael Kinney, Kayden Kinney, Dominec Kinney, Cruce Kinney, Dalton Charest, and Shawn Aponte Jr.; his siblings, Peggy Kinney, and Todd Kinney and his significant other Sharon Kittell; nieces & nephews, Katie Boylan and her husband Alan Jr., Amanda Woods and her husband Kory, Alicia Marcy and her husband Ethan, Glenn Kinney and his wife Allison, Jason Kittell and his wife Brittney, and Chris Kittell; his cousin and best friends, Andy Kinney and his wife Jennifer; and countless extended family members and friends. Neil was predeceased by his aunt & uncle, Allan & Joyce Kinney; and his cousins, Allan Kinney Jr., and Michael Kinney.
Friends & family are invited to Neil's life celebration on Friday, September 20, 2024 to include a graveside memorial service at 11:00 AM at the Berkshire Center Cemetery, Reservoir Road, Berkshire, VT. A celebration of life will follow at the American Legion, Depot Street, Enosburg Falls, VT.
