SWANTON - Norman "Fuzzy" Lapan, age 81, passed away on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Norman was born on September 25, 1943, to Noah and Mary Jane (Gardner) Lapan.
Norman was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who lived his life as a truck driver, a career he embraced for the majority of his life. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-spending countless hours outdoors, cutting wood, and enjoying the peacefulness of his garage. Known for his unwavering work ethic and his stubborn yet endearing nature, Norman was admired by many for his kindness and thoughtfulness. Norman adored all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren; they were the light of his life.
Norman is survived by his wife of 63 years, who was the love of his life, Janice; children, Randy Lapan and his wife Lucy, Roger Lapan and significant other, Sue, Ricky Lapan and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Michael Lapan, Kali Lapan and significant other Jarrid, Ashley Lapan, Breanna Lapan and fiancé Wyatt, Danielle Wrisley, Tyler Wrisley, Ian Greenia and Ashton Greenia; great grandchildren, Grayson, Munroe, Savannah and one on the way; siblings, Phyllis Draper, Larry Lapan and significant other, Joann, Noah "Junior" Lapan and girlfriend, Kathy Chase. Norman was predeceased by his parents, Noah and Mary Jane Lapan, and many siblings.
A service for Norman will be held at a later date.
