Norris Tillotson

RICHFORD - Norris C. Tillotson, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Franklin County Rehab in St. Albans.

He was born in Bakersfield on January 22, 1935 to the late Norris & Muriel (Dezotell) Tillotson.

Norris was a hardworking man who found joy in the simplicity of life. Known for his love of the outdoors, Norris spent his days hunting, fishing, and feeding the birds. His passion for climbing led him to a fulfilling career as a lineman at Citizens Power, where he worked tirelessly for many years, all while owning and operating his own gunsmith shop, Tills Gunstock Shop, where he shared his expertise with the community. A man of few words but many stories, Norris was always eager to share tales from the past, engaging in discussions about guns, politics, and his adventures climbing poles.

He is survived by his son, Dale Tillotson and his wife Lisa; his sisters, Leora Bourne, Dolores "Dot" Ashton, Carol Kilpeck, Waneta Ring, Queta Thomas, Marsha Tillotson, and Sheri Abair; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Norris was predeceased by his wife, Carol Tillotson; and his siblings, Thelma, Cheryl, Cecil, and Robert "Tommy".

Norris' family would like to thank the staff at Franklin County Rehab including Chester, the emotional support dog, for the love and care he received during his time there.

In keeping with his wishes, Carol and Norris will be laid to rest privately at the Berkshire Center Cemetery.
