ENOSBURGH, VT / EAST BRIDGEWATER, MA - Owen F. Hudson, age 85, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Enosburgh Mountain on Wednesday May 28, 2008.
He was born July 29, 1922 in Salem, MA the son of the late Fletcher & Violet (Williams) Hudson.
Owen was a resident of Enosburgh for the past 25 years and was a former resident of East Bridgewater, MA where he was employed by the State of Massachusetts Highway Dept. for 35 years retiring in 191984. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Montgomery, and the Masonic Lodge in Boston, MA. He was a U.S. Armey Veteran receiving an honorable discharge in 1943. Owen was an avid golfer and had been a long time member of the Orleans Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel (Bouldry) Hudson of Enosburgh. They were married November 10, 1942. He is also survived by 2 sons, Ronald Hudson and his wife Carolyn of Las Vegas, NV, and Wayne Hudson and his partner Michael Barry of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Sandra Hudson of Remlap, AL; his grandchildren, Ronald Hudson Jr., Kendra Hudson, & Brandon Hudson and his wife Rebecca; his great grandchildren, Ashely, Courtney, Abbey, Abram, Ellsie, Brandon Jr., and Wesley. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Charles Hudson.
Funeral services will be held Monday June 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Montgomery United Methodist Church with Pastor Edward Sorrell officiating.
A time of visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the funeral.
Interment will take place on Tuesday June 3, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Central Cemetery in East Bridgewater, MA.
