RICHFORD - Pearl L. Durgan, age 61, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.
She was born December 17, 1951 in Southbridge, MA the daughter of the late Earle & Edith (Bond) Barnes.
Pearl was a native of Massachusetts and on August 3, 1977 she married the love of her life, Harold Durgan. They made their home in Southbridge, MA until they moved the family up to Richford, VT in the 90s. Her hobbies included playing cards, knitting, putting puzzles together and playing on the computer. Pearl was a friend to everyone and loved her grandchildren dearly.
She leaves behind her husband of 37 years, Harold Durgan of Richford; her daughter, Edith Basler and her husband Wess of Richford, Michelle Durgan and her significant other Jason Mellnitz of Richford, Harold Durgan and his wife Tonya of Richford and Norman Durgan and his significant other Mindy of Berkshire; her 9 grandchildren; her brothers, Earle Barnes Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Southbridge, MA and Karl Barnes and his wife Bonita of Richford; her sisters, Ellen Landry of Highgate, Darlene OBrien of Georgia, Christine Olivera of St. Albans, Myra Banks of Georgia, Rhonda Wiley of Texas and Karen Barnes of Blackstone, MA and several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents, Pearl was predeceased by her brothers, Everett & Perry Barnes.
A graveside service will be held this spring in the Richford Center Cemetery.
