BERKSHIRE - Peggy A. Record, age 68, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born April 12, 1956 in St. Albans to the late Harold & Barbara (Knisley) Cutting.
Peggy was a devoted spouse to James Record and a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She was known for her green thumb and had a profound passion for nurturing plants. Her gardens reflected her spirit-filled with colorful flowers and thriving vegetables. Peggy found immense joy in starting her seeds and watching them grow, always eager to share the bounty with her loved ones.
In every season, Peggy delighted in nature's beauty, particularly the birds that visited her backyard. She took great care of them during the winter months, with a fondness for her lively cardinals. Her love for the outdoors extended beyond her gardens, as she enjoyed taking motorcycle rides with Jim, exploring countless scenic routes in the Northeast, with memorable trips to Alexandria Bay and Wells Beach that will forever remain in their hearts.
Peggy also embraced her creative side through painting ceramics, sharing her artistic spirit with family and friends. She had a knack for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories, and her laughter and warmth will be profoundly missed.
She is survived by her husband, James Record; daughters, Angela Poppy and her husband Anthony, and Kristin Tracy and her husband Chris; grandchildren, Christopher Tracy and his significant other Riley Patterson, Isaac Record and his wife Tiffany, Hannah Carpenter, Beau Carpenter, Melody Tracy, and Payton Tracy; great grandchildren, Hailey, Grayson, and Faylin; her brothers, John Cutting and his wife Francois, and Michael Cutting and his wife Pamela; siblings-in-law, Gary Clough, Susan Cutting, Paula Cutting, Tom Record and his wife Sue, David Record and his wife Tina, Lloyd Lumbra and his wife Diane, and Norma Juaire and her husband Duane; and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her siblings, Jean Clough, Gary Cutting, and Steven Cutting; and brother-in-law, John Record and his wife Lorraine.
Friends & family are invited to Peggy's life celebration to include visitation on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 4-7:00 PM at the Goss-Spears Life Celebration Home, 96 Dickenson Avenue Enosburg Falls, VT. A graveside memorial service will be held this spring on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the East Franklin Cemetery, Route 120, East Franklin.
